Why So Flo Eco Wash?

The Differences Between Algae and Mold

Algae grows from the sun and must have sunlight to continue growth. Mold does not need sun to grow and in addition to moisture, must have organic material to grow. Molds grow by eating the organic materials present on any surface.

Some products, like bleach, can help eliminate mold on hard, non-porous surfaces like sinks, bathtubs, tiles, or glass. This is because the roots o fate mold do not penetrate through the surface and so it is easily wiped off. However, when mold grows on a porous material, like concrete, keystone, wood, drywall, etc. it spreads its roots deep into the material to reach more nutrients. So, when you apply bleach to a surface, you are merely changing the mold’s color on the surface. Bleach quickly dries off on the surface and will not reach into the deep part of the material to the mold’s root. So, in a few days or weeks, the mold regains its color and grows back to become even worse than it was before you applied the bleach.

So Flo Eco Wash uses an environmentally safe cleaning product formulated for use in South Florida, which will not harm any grass, bushes, trees, or landscape. Our cleaning system is activated by rain, allowing Mother Nature to repeatedly drive the environmentally friendly formula deep into the root systems.

Algae is airborne, and it will eventually begin to grow again. Regrowth will be different depending on the location, exposure, and amount of sunlight/shade on the surface, which will determine the regrowth time. With our cleaning system, we can continue to address and protect your surfaces and inhibit regrowth on an ongoing basis.
